NICS Covid-19 Recovery Plan
Development and implementation of a recovery plan to minimise disruption to the Civil Service during the Covid-19 crisis
Project Description
SIB is leading the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) Recovery Group aimed at assisting the NICS and its ALBs by collaborating with HR, IT and Accommodation experts across central government to provide guidance, policy procedures, process and resource to ensure that the NICS can continue to effectively serve its citizens both during and after the Covid-19 crisis.
The NICS Recovery Group are focusing on outcomes and deliverables across the following three aspects;
1. People, Policy and Procedures
The new processes, policies and procedures that will support colleagues in the immediate and longer-term future.
2. Technology
The provision and utilisation of technology that is required to optimise a new way of working in response to Covid-19 and into the future.
3. Accommodation
The accommodation and supporting services that are now required in order to facilitate the wide range of services across the NICS as a result of Covid-19, and into the future.
Project Staus
The Recovery work commenced in early April 2020 during the height of the global pandemic and is envisaged to continue for the remainder of the year.
SIB Involvement
SIB will continue to support central government through the Covid-19 recovery process and assist them with establishing with the new normal operating environment.
